SKY BUSINESS CHANNEL BEGINS BROADCASTING IN AUSTRALIA
January 9th 2008 03:43
Australia’s Sky Business Channel began broadcasting this week, although its official launch won’t be until the end of the month.
Rumour suggested that the launch of Sky Business Channel would mean the removal of CNBC from the Foxtel platform and these rumours were heightened when CNBC dropped out from some subscriber services after a transponder change.
CNBC said yesterday that it has been contacted by some Foxtel and Austar subscribers that they can no longer receive the network. CNBC has a long-term contract to be carried on both platforms, and is seeking adequate explanation for any change to its carriage.”
