NEW DIRECTION FOR FHM IN AUSTRALIA
March 12th 2008 03:56
ACP Magazines has announced a new direction for FHM, one of the top three selling monthly men’s lifestyle titles in Australia.
The new-look FHM will be unveiled next month (May issue, on sale April 7), targeting an older, more affluent reader – and reinforcing the title’s position in the premium monthly market.
FHM first entered the Australian market in May 1998 and the new look marks the magazine’s ten year anniversary.
In addition to a fresh new design, reinvigorated content will include a travel section, motoring, food and drink and health and fitness. Exclusive interviews and expert advice on relationships and sex, and money and investment will further bolster the content.
Ben Smithurst, formerly deputy editor of FHM, will move to the newly created role of editor.
Marketing activity will include an above-the-line campaign across television, print and online, in addition to increased presence at retail.
