AUSTRALIAN TV: NINE NETWORK CROWS ABOUT US TERMINATOR BLOCKBUSTER RATINGS
January 17th 2008 02:34
Australia’s Nine Network television, which last year lost its long-term reign as the country’s number one channel, is now sitting on what could be the crown jewels in its reinvigorated programming schedule.
Nine Network yesterday gleefully pointed out that an American program it has signed, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, launched on Sunday night in the US and recorded the strongest debut on any network for the season-to-date with an “eye-popping” 18.3 million viewers tuning in.
Nine said, “In addition to the massive ratings, the series has received glowing reviews in both USA Today and the LA Times.”
The show will launch in Australia in early February.
