January 15th 2008 01:13
India’s Sakaal Group of Publications has launched a quarterly magazine, India and Global Affairs, promoted as India’s first international journal.
Exchange4Media reports, “The magazine seeks to track emerging trends in a broad range of areas, including diplomacy, strategic affairs, trade, technology, energy, the environment and culture. It assesses their impact on states, businesses and societies largely, though not exclusively, from an Indian perspective.
“The magazine also has an exclusive arrangement with Foreign Affairs, the widely acclaimed journal of the New York-based Council on Foreign Affairs.”
The company said, “We have an assured circulation of 40,000 copies, which include major universities abroad. In India, all the major universities will get a free copy of the magazine. The magazine is not designed for the masses and has target readers.”
India and Global Affairs will be available in about 80 countries.
An online version of the magazine is also expected in the next six months.
