ACP MAGAZINES HIRES NEW EDITOR-IN-CHIEF FOR AUSTRALIA’S CLEO

ACP Magazines today announced the appointment of Sarah Oakes as editor-in-chief of Australia’s young women’s lifestyle title, Cleo magazine.
Oakes has edited teen magazine, Girlfriend, for just under four years at rival company, Pacific Publishing.
ACP Magazines group publisher of women’s lifestyle, Pat Ingram said, “Sarah has proven herself to be a highly talented and effective editor and will bring a new energy and perspective to Cleo in an increasingly competitive market. She takes up her new role in March 2008.
“Nedahl Stelio will continue to edit the title until March when she will take up a new role within the company.”
Cleo magazine sells over 170,000 copies per year (ABC June 07) and has over 581,000 readers (Roy Morgan Sept 07).
