TWO NEW COMMUNITY RADIO LICENCES ISSUED IN PERTH

The Australian Communications and Media Authority will allocate two new community radio broadcasting licences in Perth.
One licence will be allocated to Peedac Pty Ltd to broadcast on 100.9 MHz to the Perth metropolitan area and surrounding districts.
The other licence will go to Capital Community Radio Inc to broadcast on 90.5 MHz to Perth city and the inner and middle ring suburbs of Perth.
Peedac’s proposed service will serve Perth’s indigenous community, and Capital Community Radio will serve seniors.
Licences will be allocated on January 22, 2008 and the new licensees must begin a service within 12 months.
